This class is designed for children with Aspergers, ADHD, and those who could benefit from a low student to staff ratio.

Beachwood Residence Inn (Metro Cleveland, OH)
Conference Center Room
3628 Park East Drive
Beachwood, Ohio 44122

August 8 - August 12, 2011
9:00am - 11:45am
12:15pm - 3:00pm

Campers will work in teams and choose ONE of the following:

2D Video Game Design with Scratch
Students will design a basic 2D video game on the computer with no prior experience required. They will learn computer graphics techniques and animation fundamentals.

LEGO Robotics
Campers will work in teams to build a robot using Lego sensors, motors, gears, and other components. Participants will program the robots to react to sound, and sense objects from a distance. Kids take home a non-solder robot to build on their own.

The structure of the camp is designed for children who benefit from additional structure, social skills instruction, visual supports, and behavior support. We will teach and reinforce a number of important life skills including: problem solving, attention to detail, logic, applied math, and reading comprehension. Development of these skills is an important contributor to a child's success.

Parents are invited on the last hour of the last day for a demonstration. Each student will go home with a robot to put together at home on their own. Students should bring their own snacks and beverage daily. Funutation will provide computers in-class for no extra fee.
